Are you in the mood to feast on finger-licking good barbecue?
Then head to the following restaurants where you will find St. Louis-style ribs, brisket, and so much more:
Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que
According to USA Today, Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que serves “America’s Tastiest Ribs.” The restaurant got its start five years after Jeff and Joy Stehney attended a barbecue contest for the first time. They realized that they loved the smell, the food, and the camaraderie, and it wasn’t long before they bought a competition-style smoker and formed a successful team with their friends called The Slaughterhouse Five. At one of their competitions, they met Joe Davidson, and he and Jeff decided to go into the restaurant business together. Guests can enjoy a laid-back environment and meals such as burnt ends, pulled pork, and ribs.
Char Bar is a Southern-inspired smokehouse that combines delicious barbecue with great beer. It pays homage to the great pit masters who called Kansas City home over the last one hundred years by using age-old methods for smoking, charring, and grilling. In the ten thousand square foot beer garden, guests can play games including bocce ball, croquet, and ping-pong while waiting for their meals such as brisket cheesesteak sandwiches, pulled pork, and naked burnt ends.
Woodyard serves the best barbecue around and has been featured on several television shows including Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and No Reservations. The restaurant was founded by wood salesman Frank Schloegel II, after he began using his grill at lunch to serve his customers and friends. After his guests encouraged him to open his own eatery, Frank successfully opened shop and has been serving hungry patrons ever since . Meals include spare ribs, sausage, and pulled pork.
